Vibration and The Resonance Theory of Consciousness

“With the right vibes and the right people, it’s easy to create something magical.”

Dinah Jane

While some people believe that the idea of vibes is relatively new, it’s actually something that’s just been rebranded for this generation. In previous generations it has been labeled differently, but really it’s just one thing: energy. What’s a vibe and how could you use it to help you?

What’s a Vibration?

You’ve heard people say before that a place has a bad energy to it, and that refers to the vibrations that it’s giving off.

Seemingly unexplained as to why they exist, a vibe is a sense or a feel that a place or object gives off. For example, visiting New York City has a different vibration to it compared to a small town in central Alabama. NYC gives off a sense of awe and amazement due to its impressive structures and layout, while the small town in Alabama may give off a warming sense of home, that you’ll be welcomed in the town by its residents.

We have all encountered people that give off negative vibes, the ones that you have a gut feeling that they are trying to deceive you or lead you to a favor that you might not have gave willingly before. These people are seen as sketchy and untrustworthy, and we can naturally sense these people most of the time by the vibes they are giving off.

On the contrary, the opposite can be true for people giving off positive vibes. These are the people that light up a room as soon as they enter it, and you know you’ll be smiling soon by something that person has either said or done. People gravitate toward these types of people, as people will naturally gravitate toward anything with a positive vibe to it.

Resonance Theory of Consciousness

The theory that best explains consciousness from a scientific perspective is called the Resonance Theory of Consciousness, which can be found in detail here. To largely summarize its purpose, it describes how the wavelengths of resonance found in mammalian brains can be monitored and compared to all other beings, which would be able to determine the level of consciousness for non-human beings if a standard is appropriately set. This paper should be a key citation in publications to come in the next decade, considering it was considered a landmark publication at the time of its release in 2019.

How Can This Help You?

People that give off good vibes, as I stated, naturally attract people toward you. A change from giving off negative (or even mixed) energy to giving off positive energy can leave you seeing people treat you in a more positive way.

How do you change your vibe?

  • Smile more often
  • Positive, open body language
  • Speaking kindly of others, whether it be to their face or not

This can lead to better relationships and better job opportunities for you. Give yourself an advantage over the competition.
